Sacificial giving is a core expression of the character of God, and therefore also of a disciple of Jesus. Giving of our finances is a vital aspect of this, especially in a culture like ours that is dominated by consumerism, and the accumulation of material wealth.
We understand that all we have is God's, which is given to us to steward wisely both as individuals and as a community.
As partners with God in the local church, we look to financially support the work of God's kingdom in various ways through;
- general offerings for our church,
- local partnerships beyond ourselves,
- support of GBC global partners, and
- strategic projects that further God's kingdom priorities.

General Offerings
General offerings support the ministries of our church, including staff costs, operation of facilities, and giving to global partners. You can see a breakdown of how this money is used in our yearly church budget.

Global Partners & Local Partnerships
As a church we support partners who have gone out from our community to be involved in God's work in the world, including
- Siu Mai in East Asia,
- Trent & Ivory along with their children in The Highlands,
- Dave & Kristen with Samuel currently in Norway, and
- Joyce & Paul with Joshua and Philippa in France.
We also support specific projects or appeals through partnerships with local agencies, including Baptist World Aid Australia, Global Interaction Australia, BaptistCare and The Baptist Association of NSW & ACT.

1GS Building Project
Gordon Baptist Church has commenced on the construction of new facilities at 1 Garden Square. These works involve renovation of the existing house that will include two meeting spaces and amenities, and the addition of a new multi-purpose hall with a capacity for 80 people. You can partner in this project:
by making a one-off or regular donation;
